Last rites for Mrs. [Sarah] Ann Edwards were held Friday afternoon at the Chastain Funeral home with Rev. J. McMullen officiating. "Abide With Mr" and "Perfect Rest" were sung by Everett Lewis and Eugene Hutchine (sic - Hutchins). Miss Eva Williams organist accompanied them. Pall bearers were Ward Lovett, Raymond Crosby, Carl Brookshire, Glenn Irwin and Walter Smith. Flower bearers were Lola Crosby, Hazel Lovett, Pearl Brookshire, Vesta Barnes. Burial was in the Roachdale Cemetery.
